I ended up with thousands of them and had my grandma mail in cause I was only 13/14 Sometimes take extended trips around town. Nearly every day I would ride my bike to the high school parking lot nearby and get a handful of these. TL DR : Collecting Marlboro miles and getting things out of the catalogue was something families did in the 90s. at the time it was a lot of fun to collect them lol. Only now I realize how awful this was in terms of health but. We got jackets, bags, (itchy) blankets, sleeping bags, thermoses, flash lights, clothes… and I remember my dad surprised me with the coveted yellow cd player. (I would see the original gray whenever I would move the power button lol) My parents were heavy smokers in the 1990s. point and say “there! Grab it!” Like trained bird dogs, my best friend and I would then run out to the curb and quickly snatch up the discarded pack,sometimes happily pulling off the miles, other times groaning and throwing the mileless packag in the trash bag(we called those “duds”). and he would look for discarded packs of Marlboros, probably smoking on his own whilst doing so.
